A Commons career

Diceocracy: UK is a single-player political career game set in the House of Commons. You begin as a candidate in a by-election for a real constituency. Win and you become an MP; lose and your party may nominate you for another seat three weeks later. From the backbenches, you can climb the government ladder toward Prime Minister or the opposition ladder toward Leader of the Opposition.

Votes and encounters

Your diary fills with cards for constituency surgeries, parliamentary divisions, meetings, and other events. Some must be handled before the week moves on. Choices often call for a check: you roll a physical d20, add your score, and try to meet the difficulty printed on the card. The game shows the odds before you commit, but the die’s result is determined by its movement across the table.
