Detective Defective: The Insider

PC detective investigation

Detective Defective: The Insider is a detective investigation game for PC. You play someone who forged an identity and invented a career to get into a private detective agency, hoping to investigate his wife’s unexplained death. You’re inexperienced, and the game puts you alone at crime scenes without markers or prompts telling you what matters.

Searching a crime scene

You walk through detailed 3D crime scenes at your own pace, picking up objects and turning them over to inspect them. You read documents, study stains and decide what to record. A glass, cigarette butt or pill might be irrelevant, or it might connect to something else. The game doesn’t flag evidence for you, and an item you miss stays where it is.
