Premise

Destination Gemini is a PC game with a story about humanity’s past and powerful technology. Long ago, extraterrestrials with godlike abilities visited Earth and, according to legend, gave some of their technology to humanity.

The technology’s legacy

Some civilizations prospered with the technology, but jealousy and greed led to wars over control of it. After humanity came close to extinction, people decided the technology should never be used again. The story says it took mankind a very long time to recover.
