Departure is a management sim for PC set in the air traffic control tower at Ganlley Airport, a small regional airport in the Pacific Northwest. During the quiet night shift, you direct incoming and outgoing flights using radar and runways, making decisions with your own judgment.

Controls and the evening

You move objects and interact with the world using physics-inspired controls. As you handle flight traffic, narrative events unfold, and your actions shape how the evening’s mystery plays out. The game draws inspiration from 1990s pulp media including The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks and The X-Files.
