Modes and squads

DEFECT is a cyberpunk SWAT sim for PC, set in the last city of mankind under the rule of an authoritarian AI called The System. You can play alone in an offline single-player mode, team up with friends in PvE co-op, or face rival squads in PvP. PvP matches use four-person squads.

You choose a faction: The System’s policing force, rogue police elements, or gangs fighting for control of the city. The game’s conflict pits the forces of law against gang factions, with each side competing for power in the city’s decaying sectors.
