Deepstrata

Digging into Deepstrata Mechanics

In Deepstrata, players take on the role of a contract driller for REGOLITH Deep Extraction, delving into the depths of various celestial bodies. This PC game combines resource management and strategic exploration with a focus on destructible environments. As players navigate treacherous layers of rock, they must balance their fuel consumption and cargo weight while uncovering hidden treasures, or facing catastrophic hazards.

Contract Types and Challenges

The game features multiple contract types, each presenting unique challenges and environments. Starting with the Luna Proving Grounds, players experience gentle terrain to hone their skills. However, contracts like The Cold Archive on Callisto demand slow, careful drilling through ice, with gas pockets lurking beneath the surface. Players can choose difficulty settings from Peaceful to Brutal, each offering different risks and rewards. Peaceful mode ensures no combat while still offering mining opportunities, while higher difficulties introduce seismic storms and fiercer enemies.
