Free kicks and set pieces

Dead Ball Specialist is a PC football game built around set pieces. In first-person free kicks, you shape shots with Magnus curve, knuckleball wobble and wind, choosing whether to bend the ball around the wall or float it over. As a first-person goalkeeper, you read the shooter’s body as time slows when the shot leaves. Corner kicks put you over the shoulder of a striker, racing a marker to the drop zone and aiming to finish inside a sweet-spot window. On defence, you catch, punch or clear the ball.

Career and progression

League Career covers real-time 11-v-11 matches across seven divisions. When a free kick is awarded, play freezes and you take it yourself. Opponents adapt: walls have four temperaments, and the keeper drifts toward where you kicked last. You can raise the stakes, which thickens the wall, sharpens the keeper and increases the distance.
