Chess puzzle rules

Crazy Chess is a turn-based puzzle game for PC built around chess pieces and irregular boards. You guide a lone knight to the orb on each level; collecting it activates the portal to the next one. Enemy pieces move after you, each according to its own rules, so you can capture them or try to slip past. Every move has a fixed result, with no dice or hidden rules.

Changing the board

Transformations can turn your knight into a pawn, rook or bishop, changing how you can move across the board. Ice makes pieces slide until something stops them, and coming to rest with no move left freezes you. Fire spreads each turn, burning tiles, pieces and items. Bombs count down before taking out everything around them. You’ll need to account for these rules as well as enemy movement when planning a route to the orb.
