Connection Empire

Starting a provider in 1983

Connection Empire is a 2D business simulation for PC about building an internet provider in Germany. You start in 1983 with a small data and terminal service for local businesses, then grow the company as internet technology and the market develop. Choose a headquarters on a map and use a founding dossier to set the company name, owner, office preparation and starting budget.

The map uses real OpenStreetMap data for streets, buildings and mapped addresses. Germany is the first playable country, and the available map data varies by location. The game combines those present-day maps with a simplified economy and historical background; its mapped addresses don't represent every real connection, and costs and founding procedures use game values.
