Meet the Characters in a Struggling Society

At the heart of the story is Marisugawa Arue, a devoted manga enthusiast whose health challenges have limited her educational opportunities. With a laughably low Authorized Power level of 5, she is determined to escape her dreary fate. Arue's sharp wit, developed from overcoming her shyness, drives her to join a government relief program that leads her to share an apartment with two distinctive roommates.
