Chess War

Chess on a battlefield

Chess War is a 3D chess game for PC that presents standard chess as a conflict between armies from different historical eras. You move pieces across the board, plan attacks and try to capture the opposing king. The chess rules sit beneath a battlefield presentation, with armies shown as historical forces rather than abstract pieces.

The factions draw on medieval, Roman and Viking imagery. Medieval knights, Roman legions and Viking raiders give the sides different looks, and the battlefields frame the board as a contest between rival civilizations.
