Checkmate Rush

A Strategic Challenge Awaits in Checkmate Rush

In Checkmate Rush, a turn-based arcade roguelite for PC, players face an intriguing challenge: one pawn against an army of enemies. The game takes familiar chess mechanics and turns them into a high-speed arena where every move counts. As the clock accelerates, so does the intensity, requiring quick thinking and tactical prowess to outsmart the opposition.

Rank Up and Fall Back: A Unique Progression System

The core mechanic centers around capturing opponents to score chess points. Each successful capture allows your pawn to evolve through the chess ranks, transitioning from pawn to knight, then bishop, rook, and ultimately the queen. However, this progression comes with a twist: if captured, a player does not die but falls a rank instead. Yet, beware, the captured pawn is permanently checkmated.
