Cheat or Fold

Poker and programming

Cheat or Fold is a singleplayer programming game for PC, set on a retro computer desktop. You play Texas Hold’em against computer opponents, then write programs to respond to the poker client and make decisions at the table. The poker game sits alongside a script editor and terminal, so your play depends on both the hand and the code you write.

A program can react to a turn, inspect the actions available, and choose one. You can play hands yourself, automate routine decisions, or run programs across several poker clients. Opponents have different habits, so a strategy may need adjustments from table to table.
