Charcoal

4X strategy in post-apocalyptic Britain

Charcoal is a PC 4X strategy game set in the ruins of the UK. You start alone, scavenging cities and countryside for gear, vehicles, clothing, and weapons. As you explore, you recruit survivors and build settlements among the remains of the old world.

Settlements and resources

You manage your people and expand your territory, balancing research into forgotten technology against buildings that keep your settlement alive. The economy includes rations for feeding a growing population, plus coal and petrol to supply your armies. Your choices shape whether your faction prospers or falls.
