Champion Trainer

Game premise and management tasks

Champion Trainer is a simulation game for PC that tasks you with managing a horse racing stable from the year 1990. You will handle various aspects of stable management, which include staffing, breeding, maintaining facilities, and preparing horses for races. Your goal is to build a successful racing operation while navigating the complexities of horse breeding and racing strategy.

Breeding and bloodlines

The game incorporates a comprehensive breeding system that features a 15-trait genome and multiple inheritance patterns, reflecting real-world genetics. It utilizes over 14,000 pedigree records that trace back to foundational sires such as the Byerley Turk and the Darley Arabian. You can engage in breeding practices like line-breeding, where you must balance the benefits of tightening bloodlines against the risks of poor foal health.
