A falling-sand roguelite

Cave Alchemist is a PC falling-sand roguelite where you play a small wizard cat descending through procedurally generated caves. You work your way through six biomes, from the Mines and Coal Pits to the Inferno, fighting creatures and using spells to get past hazards. A boss guards the way down every fifth level.

The caves are destructible, and their materials interact: water hardens lava into rock, acid dissolves stone, and oil floats on water and catches fire. Frost bolts can freeze ponds, while gunpowder seams and swamp gas can ignite from a stray spark. Crates and falling rocks are physical objects that can burn, float, break apart or crush things.
