Hammer and holes

Carnamole is a horror game built around a hammer-and-mole machine. You hit moles as they appear from holes, trying to make the number go up. The moles used to be something else, and the rules are learned by losing: swinging too slowly, trusting the wrong hole, or letting the wrong thing escape all tighten the rope.

The room and the phone

Mistakes change the room around the machine. The light bends, the edges close in, and something underneath the board starts listening. A phone on the wall rings now and then with a demand to pay what you owe. Pay, and you keep playing; refuse, and you find out what happens to contestants who stop being useful.
