Card Capital is a PC simulation about buying, selling, and collecting fantasy trading cards. You start with a small budget, weigh asking prices against recent sales, and decide which purchases to keep as shop stock and which to hold for yourself. A card that looks like a good deal can turn into a loss if its condition is worse than expected.

Inspecting cards

Condition affects a card’s value, so purchases can call for a close examination. Tilt cards under a light to spot scratches, or use a loupe to check worn corners. Workshop upgrades add tools for checking centering and using UV light to find stains and exposed paper fibers. You record your findings in an inspection report, and overlooking damage can make a promising purchase unprofitable.
