Top-down bullet hell

Carbon Conservatory is a PC top-down bullet hell with Souls-like elements, set in Glass-9, a botanical refuge running out of air. You play Silvan, a maintenance worker with a fern grown into one arm, sent to turn valves in neglected sectors. The husks tending those areas attack on sight.

Parry and bloom

Combat centers on returning enemy fire with Silvan’s frond bracer. Parry just before a round lands to send it back carrying a seed; timing it against the first shot in a burst returns the whole burst, while mashing closes the parry window. Returned rounds seed their targets. Fill a husk with seeds to rupture it, leaving it stunned and vulnerable. Kill it while it’s open and it bursts, spreading seeds to nearby enemies. Leave it alive, and it scabs over, making it harder to open next time.
