Breakpoint

Head-to-head card play

Breakpoint is a head-to-head tactical card game for PC, played with a standard deck of playing cards. You play Singles, Pairs, Straights, and Bombs to beat your opponent’s plays, trying to empty your hand first. The rules for what beats what can be counterintuitive: an Ace 2 can be beaten by a 3, but not by a 4.

Each turn forces a choice between playing a card combination and passing. You can use a strong hand to press your lead, or hold cards back and build toward a later play. If you can’t beat what your opponent played, you gain extra Rage, so a poor hand can still set up a comeback.
