Battle of Zama

Battle of Zama: A Strategic Showdown

Battle of Zama thrusts players into one of history's pivotal moments, where Roman forces led by Scipio face off against Hannibal's legendary army. Set on the historical battlefield in Carthage, the game imagines an alternate outcome, what if Hannibal had triumphed? The cascading effects could have shifted the balance of power in the Mediterranean dramatically. Players must navigate this intriguing historical scenario to claim victory.

Historical Mechanics That Matter

The gameplay mechanics draw inspiration from classic board games like Avalon Hill and SPI, crafting a tactical experience that favors meticulous planning over random chance. Using a square grid for movement reflects the reality of ancient warfare, where units seldom moved diagonally. Players can reposition their troops, engage in ranged attacks, and engage in melee combat, all while making strategic use of formations to expedite movement across the battlefield.
