What it is

Ballad is a music creation and rhythm game for PC where you can explore and manipulate melodies. You can select existing tunes, create your own, or use the built-in melody generator to produce new compositions from scratch. The game allows you to interact with these melodies in various ways, including building machines that play them and turning the music into visual performances.

Composing music

You can compose music using a piano roll feature, allowing you to paint notes and stack chords while adjusting the tempo. The game supports importing your MIDI files and exporting your work as MIDI as well. This means you can utilize songs from the game’s library or your own creations to create compositions tailored to your preferences.
