Backrooms: Project Mapping is a procedural exploration game for PC. You work for Latent Space Research Corporation, which has opened rifts into the Backrooms, and your job is to map what lies beyond them. You can explore with crewmates, splitting tasks such as carrying the rift device, reading the map, and recording footage. The description doesn’t give a player count.

Recording the route

Each expedition takes you through a new map of rooms and hallways. You record your route with a company-issued handcam, then return to base to process the cassette. The footage reveals the map room by room, turning the recording into a record of where you’ve been.
