Game premise and mechanics

Anvil and Alembic is a shop-keeping simulation set in a cozy fantasy world. In the game, you run an outfitter for adventurers, crafting and selling weapons, armor, and potions that heroes need for their journeys. You manage a workshop where you forge weapons, create armor, and distill potions, all while attending to various customer types who enter your shop seeking gear.

Crafting and resources

The game allows you to engage in three main crafts: smithing, armoring, and alchemy. You can forge a variety of weapons, including daggers, swords, axes, and greatswords, using different material grades ranging from budget to masterwork. As you progress, you unlock over 80 blueprints through a multi-tier research tree, which helps improve your crafting efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
