Always Fear The Unknown is a multiplayer horror game for PC that features one Slayer against up to seven Survivors. The game is structured around player-driven interactions where Survivors collaborate to complete objectives while managing their fears, and the Slayer seeks to eliminate them.

Fear and psychological mechanics

Before matches begin, players complete an in-game psychological evaluation that ranks their triggers in five categories: Social, Agoraphobia, Injury, Sexual aggression, and Harmless animals. This evaluation shapes the fear events during gameplay, influencing how players experience tension and encounters throughout their sessions.
