AlpineFall

Skiing at Grauhorn

AlpineFall is a PC skiing game about Julian “Rook” Vane, a broke 22-year-old who takes a cheap trip to Grauhorn to learn to ski. The ageing resort sits beneath Mount Oread, where Rook’s instructor, Astrid, knows the mountain and warns him away from certain areas. As lessons and runs take him farther from the bunny hill, he begins to uncover what happened there.

You learn the skiing techniques alongside Rook rather than assigning skill points. He starts with a snowplough to slow down, then learns parallel turns, moguls, jumps and carving. Techniques that are difficult at first become instinct through practice.
