Game premise and structure

Afterlife Dreams: Anna - Part I is an episodic video game for PC that explores the imagination of Anna, a 12-year-old girl undergoing treatment for an illness. The story unfolds in different episodes, with this purchase including only Part I; subsequent episodes will be sold separately. In a deep dream state, Anna forgets her past and encounters various odd characters and situations in a fantastical land called Sweet Harbor, known for its candy-themed environment.

Gameplay mechanics

Players navigate through a linear storyline filled with secondary missions. The game includes platforming elements, with an option to enable a Landing Mark for easier jump aiming. Players can engage in combat using water attacks, dynamite, and fire, as well as rolling to avoid enemy hits. The game has plenty of dialogue featuring quirky characters and includes voice acting, which can be turned off.
