ACE – Tennis is Life

Arcade tennis in the Ruhr

ACE - Tennis is Life is a PC arcade tennis game about Victoria von Arndt, a wealthy young player whose father is arrested and whose family’s money and villa are seized. She winds up in Germany’s Ruhr region with a racket and no place to stay, and has to make her way through tennis. You aim and time topspin, slice, lobs and smashes while Victoria runs to the ball. Serves depend on hitting the top of the toss, and diving saves can reach balls that seem out of range.

A commentator follows the rallies, with the crowd reacting to winners. Successful rallies fill a special meter: before Victoria’s fall, she can use the Moneyshot; afterward, it becomes Broke Mountain, a more forceful shot.
