A Short List of Maybes

A repeating Valentine’s Day

A Short List of Maybes is a story-driven visual novel set in Chicago in 2033. On Valentine’s Day, a sudden snowstorm leaves Ran Fangyu stranded, looking for someone who’ll let them stay the night. Knocking on a door turns that search into a story about past relationships, lost connections, and possible futures.

Choices and loops

You make different choices to reach different endings, then return to the beginning with what you learned. Some endings reveal new paths, and choices can uncover possibilities that weren’t available before. Each loop adds to what you know about the people around Ran and helps piece together the bigger picture.
