A Catalan Sword

Surviving the Byzantine Battlefield in A Catalan Sword

In A Catalan Sword, players step into the shoes of a mercenary during an arduous journey through the historical expedition of 1303. Set against the backdrop of the Byzantine Empire, this 2D RPG challenges you to navigate a world filled with betrayal and fierce combat. From the very start, players must confront threats both from allies and foes, proving their mettle through skillful swordplay and strategic choices.

Tactical Turn-Based Combat Mechanics

The heart of A Catalan Sword lies in its tactical turn-based combat system, which accounts for numerous variables that influence gameplay. Characters’ stats, fatigue levels, traumas, and even the morale of your party can shift the tide of battle. This complexity allows less experienced players to devise clever strategies, potentially outwitting seasoned veterans. Every decision counts, making every encounter a test of skill and cunning.
