Introducing Hammurabi in Civilization VI - Babylon Pack
The Civilization VI - Babylon Pack brings players into the ancient world, featuring Hammurabi as the leader of the Babylonian civilization. Players will discover a civilization rich in Science, Government, and Infrastructure. The pack introduces not only Hammurabi but also the Sabum Kibittum unique unit and the Palgum unique building, enhancing strategic gameplay.
Babylonia's Sci-Fi Focus and Unique Mechanics
With the “Enuma Anu Enlil” ability, the Babylon civilization can leverage Eurekas to generate all Science needed for technologies, though players must manage a decline in Science output each turn. This ability encourages a focus on strategic advancements, often emphasizing research over raw science accumulation. Each step becomes crucial as your civilization evolves through the ages.
Hammurabi's Leader Abilities Explained
Hammurabi's leader ability, “Ninu Ilu Sirum,” allows players to construct the lowest Production cost building in each specialty district for free upon its first construction. Additionally, any new district provides a bonus Envoy, giving players an edge in diplomacy as they expand their influence across the map. Welcome the uniqueness of Hammurabi as you navigate your civilization’s journey.
The Sabum Kibittum: Strength in Combat
The Babylon Pack features the Sabum Kibittum, an Ancient Era melee unit with specialized advantages. This unique unit boasts increased Combat Strength against Heavy and Light Cavalry units, making it a pivotal asset in early-game conflicts. Its additional Movement and Sight can provide vital reconnaissance, helping you outmaneuver opponents in tight tactical situations.
The Palgum Building and Its Strategic Importance
Replacing the Watermill, the Palgum enhances your civilization's capabilities by boosting Production and Housing. It triggers with Irrigation and excels in regions adjacent to rivers, where it maximizes Food generated from Freshwater tiles. The strategic placement of Palgums can lay the groundwork for thriving cities and help maintain a growing population.
New Heroes and Legends Introduced
The introduction of the "Heroes and Legends" game mode is a standout feature. Players can recruit legendary figures from various cultures, adding depth to the gameplay. Discover new Heroes through the Heroic Tales City Project or city-state diplomacy. Once summoned, each Hero possesses unique abilities and a finite lifespan, meaning players must utilize them wisely for maximum impact.
Expanding Your Civilization with New Characters and City-States
In addition to the new game mode, the Babylon Pack adds 24 Great People, including influential figures like the poet Rumi and the architect Imhotep. Six new City-States also make their appearance, each with unique capabilities that can change the dynamics of your civilization. Players will encounter Cultural, Industrial, Militaristic, Religious, Scientific, and Trade city-states, providing varied opportunities for expansion.
The Lasting Legacy of Heroes and Their Relics
When a Hero meets their end, they leave behind two Heroic Relic Great Works: an Epic and a symbolic object that can benefit your civilization throughout the game. Monuments now accommodate these relics in two new slots, allowing for new ways to narrate your civilization’s history. The interplay between fact and myth can create compelling stories that enhance your experience in Civilization VI.
