In SHADE WALKERS, a 2v2v2 tactical horror extraction game, players navigate a haunted facility teeming with both supernatural beasts and rival teams. Gather hidden plushies to unlock your escape while avoiding a relentless Kaiki hunting you. Only one team can break free, so strategy and teamwork are crucial. The game blends psychological warfare with intense tactical play, setting the stage for adrenaline-fueled confrontations.

Tactical Gameplay and Strategic Challenges

The gameplay is divided into two key phases: Exploration and Escape. During the Exploration Phase, players must search for ritual dolls scattered throughout the eerie environment. Collecting three dolls and placing them on an altar triggers the horror's ascent—a terrifying Shade determined to thwart your escape. The decision of what items to carry plays a critical role in your strategy, as each player can only hold a limited number of items.

Intense Cooperative Experience

Once the dolls are offered, the Escape Phase begins. The escape gate opens, and players must use their wits and remaining items to outmaneuver both the Shades and rival teams. Here, the cooperative aspect shines: both teammates must cross the finish line for a successful escape. A lone survivor isn't enough; your partner's survival is just as crucial, making teamwork paramount in every match.

Diverse Strategies with Unique Items

Players can utilize a variety of key items to enhance their chances of survival. For example, a flashlight can temporarily stun Shades, providing a brief respite. Barricades can obstruct pathways, trapping enemy players, while a magnifying glass allows you to peek into opponents' inventories for sabotage opportunities. Bandages are the last line of defense, reviving players struck down by the lurking horrors. The blend of these mechanics fosters a rich environment for strategic gameplay.

Riveting Encounters with the Shades

You'll face an array of nightmarish entities as you navigate the haunted facility. The Chaser Dog is one of the primary Shades, known for its speed and keen senses, making it a formidable threat. Additionally, players will confront grotesque, massive shapes blocking hallways or chaotic swarms of spider-like horrors. Each match presents a fresh set of challenges, forcing players to adapt and stay vigilant.

Expansive Multiplayer Mode

SHADE WALKERS features 6-player online matches split into three teams of two, allowing for both friend groups and matchmaking. The Early Access version kicks off with a 3-player mode (1v1v1), but a full 6-player experience with additional maps will arrive in future updates. This expanded multiplayer element adds layers of strategy, as you must consider both the environment and the movements of competing teams.
