Oh Debu

The film Kawase discusses is Oh Debu, a project she envisioned after her 2015 film Sweet Bean. It follows Aya, an over-romantic woman who is complexed by her weight. Kawase conceived it as a comedy, a challenge for her after making naturalist, poetic films.
