Heaps: Special Interest Sandbox is a PC sandbox that turns files from your computer into 3D spaces. You create a heap, add files such as PDFs, text documents, images, spreadsheets or code, then let a small language model running locally on your GPU extract concepts and cluster them into neighborhoods.

Building a heap

The process starts with a heap’s “universe ring,” where you feed it files. Heaps uses Ollama to run the model, LibreOffice to handle documents and PowerPoints, and Tesseract-OCR to extract text from images. Once the files have been processed and their concepts clustered, the game generates a heap that you can enter.
