The Merchants

Ships and trade

The Merchants is a PC ship-command and trading game set on the high seas. You captain anything from a small cargo vessel to a galleon, and can stick with one ship or build a fleet. Haul goods to sell for profit, then put that money back into your growing fleet. When you have several ships, you can assign them trade routes and send them out to work, with optional escorts.

You can get goods from reputable sources or take less lawful routes. You can also sail under a nation, alliance, trade company, or privateers, join the pirates, or establish your own empire.
