A climb told at the fire

The Legend of Jūbee: Stoogis's Revenge is a single-player, turn-based deckbuilding roguelike about pilgrims climbing a mountain. At a campfire on the road, Jūbei, an old one-eyed dog, listens to travelers’ stories. At dawn, they set out for the summit. Most don’t return, and the fire burns again.

You start each run with a small deck, then draft cards and gather Tokens to build toward the climb. The route has three acts: the Bamboo Road, a bamboo forest with the first fights; the Cloudline, with rope bridges and snow on the high slopes; and the Summit, the final ascent in the shadow of the peak.
