Seed Money

Game premise and mechanics

Seed Money is a fictional stock-market simulation game for PC. You start with one million won and participate in a 20-trading-day seed-money contest after leaving an orphanage. The primary gameplay mechanic revolves around making investment decisions based on market data, analyzing charts and reading order books for 46 stocks in a real-time market. You manage your trades by buying, selling, short selling, and leveraging your investments.

Progression system

As you engage in trades, you earn experience points (XP) that can be allocated across a skill tree composed of Market Sense, Trading, Analysis, and Portfolio nodes. This system allows you to enhance your skills in spotting chart patterns and reacting more quickly to market news. The game tracks your overall performance as you compete against the market index, with your alpha serving as a key metric of success.
