Sakura Stars

Save Humanity in Sakura Stars

Sakura Stars thrusts you into a vibrant world where hordes of Youkai threaten humanity. As a player, you’ll choose from three uniquely gifted human girls, selected by the Tanukis to bear magical powers. Your mission is clear: defend humanity from supernatural assaults in this retro-styled horizontal shoot 'em up on PC. Get ready for an adventure infused with anime aesthetics and chiptune soundtrack as you navigate through enemy-infested levels.

Embrace the Retro Shmup Challenge

Designed on the Pico-8 fantasy console, Sakura Stars embraces its retro roots. The low-resolution graphics and simplistic design transport you back to the 8-bit era, where the fun lies in mastering patterns and mechanics. Each level presents fixed enemy waves, inviting you to memorize attack sequences reminiscent of classic arcade games. This approach rewards players with a sense of progression, honing skills as they face increasingly formidable foes.
