SAILORSIM

Sailing the Mediterranean

SAILORSIM is a PC sailing and motor boating game set around Spain’s Costa Dorada and the Balearic Islands. You skipper a cruising yacht from the helm, using its wheel, gear lever, engine, sails, autopilot and VHF radio. You can handle sail trim yourself or let the crew do it in assisted mode.

Boat handling and routes

You hoist and reef sails, tack and gybe, berth at a pontoon, cast off and anchor in coves. A nautical chart lets you plot routes and follow them with the autopilot. Other vessels include yachts, motorboats, ferries, container ships and tankers; collision warnings indicate which boat must give way. The radio uses channel 16 and includes a MAYDAY distress call.
