Rome Invictus

Roman grand strategy

Rome Invictus is a PC grand strategy game about Roman expansion, where you conquer and divide territory around the Mediterranean. You manage two kinds of conflict: real-time battles decide what happens on the field, while politics in the Senate decide who remains in a position to fight.

Battles and Senate politics

The game puts military outcomes and political survival side by side. You fight battles in real time, then contend with Senate politics that determine who’s still standing to continue the campaign. Conquering territory is only part of the task: you also have to divide what you take and deal with the political consequences.
