Legacy Code is a physics-based simulation game for PC about a Mechanimal, a mysterious creature built from scraps and junk. You set out to discover what you are, building a body from parts such as heads, arms, legs and motors, then putting it in motion. The game’s story follows that search for your true self.

Mechanimals can combine biological materials with inorganic objects. Their construction affects how they look and move, and the physics simulation can produce unexpected behavior. A build made for a particular purpose might walk in a way you didn’t plan; you find out how it acts by setting it in motion.
