Colony 28

The Resurgence of Colony 28

Colony 28 is a relic of the 90s that draws players back to a bleak vision of the future. Released originally in 1996, this arcade-adventure from Czech developer Karel Matějka captures the essence of early Eastern European gaming. Set in 2028, humanity’s survival hangs by a thread in the face of alien conquest. Players awaken as a combat droid but retain their human consciousness, tasked with leading a resistance against the oppressive machines.

A Compelling Sci-Fi Narrative

The game's story revolves around survival in the ruins of Earth, now a desolate landscape transformed by chaos and corporate greed. As players navigate Colony 28, they confront the stark reality of a world where humans have become subservient to a mechanized army. The fate of mankind rests solely on the shoulders of the player, a compelling motivation that drives the gameplay forward.
