Cold Weld

Repairing the structure

Cold Weld is a PC game about maintaining one leg of a vast underwater megastructure. Each shift, you leave the warm hut and work on the steel, knocking on it and listening to the echoes to find where it’s failing. You weld the damaged metal, pull a lever, and relight lamps along the column.

Light and scale

The structure is ten kilometres tall and stays at full size beneath water that swallows your light. Each lamp you bring back pushes the darkness farther away, revealing more of the column and the depth around it. The gauge, welding rods, and wrist computer are on your gloves; there are no other on-screen elements.
