Assembly programming

Arctic Station Six is a PC assembly programming puzzle game about running an automatic weather station on Arctic ice. You program its loggers, controllers and drone during the summer, before the last plane leaves. Then the station runs on its own for 160 days, carrying out your instructions through a simulated winter. A mistake in the code keeps running all season.

Each part runs a short program on a card. You read instruments, wait for the next hour, compare values, jump to another instruction and send reports. The first logger has eight lines; later controllers have more room, but their programs still need careful planning. Each part has its own manual page built into the game.
