Game premise and mechanics

WORDLACE is a word puzzle game for PC. The objective is to read a clue and trace letters through neighboring tiles to form a word, which then leaves the board. Each board presents a grid where almost every tile is part of a word, but a few tiles belong to nothing, especially in later chapters. These spurious tiles can mislead you, as the number of leftover tiles does not always correlate with the length of the intended word.

Puzzle structure

The game contains 1,600 unique puzzles where every answer has a single route across the board, and paths do not cross. Players do not need to guess what the designer intended, as solutions are definitive. When a board is solved, the game reveals any spare letters that may lead to a secondary answer.
