ABOUT THIS GAME
Solve Crimes Through Sound Alone
Unheard - Voices of Crime transforms detective work into an entirely audio-based mystery experience on PC. Players become Acoustic Detectives, using a mysterious device to eavesdrop on conversations from past crime scenes. Every clue, motive, and revelation comes through your headphones as you piece together complex cases by listening to the voices of those involved.
Audio Detective Mechanics That Redefine Investigation
The core gameplay revolves around temporal eavesdropping—stepping back in time to hear conversations as they originally unfolded. Players don't control characters directly. Instead, you observe events as a fly on the wall, tracking multiple individuals across crime scenes through their voices alone. The challenge lies in matching names to voices, understanding relationships, and connecting seemingly unrelated conversations into a coherent narrative.
Two Complete Cases in the Voices of Crime Edition
This edition includes the original Unheard campaign plus "The Lethal Script," a bonus case set in The Peak Hotel involving movie industry intrigue. Both cases interweave through an overarching mystery that questions the source and reliability of these ghostly voices. Players must determine not only who committed each crime, but also what connects these separate investigations.
Open-Ended Mystery Structure Puts You in Control
Unlike traditional adventure games that feed players predetermined clues, Unheard lets you construct the narrative order yourself. Any character could be the culprit, key evidence might surface at any moment, and storylines intersect unpredictably. You become the editor of your own investigation, choosing which conversations to follow and when to piece together the larger puzzle.
Atmospheric Crime Solving Through Pure Audio Design
The game's audio-only presentation creates an unusually intimate detective experience. Without visual distractions, players focus entirely on vocal performances, background sounds, and the subtle details that reveal character motivations. Headphones become essential equipment as you strain to catch whispered confessions, heated arguments, and casual remarks that might crack each case wide open.
Mystery Narrative That Questions Reality
As cases progress, the nature of the voice-hearing device becomes increasingly suspect. Can these temporal echoes be trusted? Are you hearing actual past events or something more sinister? The game weaves doubt into its crime investigation mechanics, forcing players to question not just the suspects, but the very foundation of their detective work.
