This Is Not Chess: Tactics with a Twist

This Is Not Chess brings a quirky take on the turn-based tactics genre, dropping players into whimsical battles filled with hilariously outlandish characters. Set in vibrant, colorful battlefields, each match transforms into a strategic contest where your choices matter. Rather than moving all units individually, you'll share a limited pool of actions among your squad, fostering creative decisions that can turn the tide in unexpected ways.

Action Pool Mechanics: Rethinking Strategy

Each turn presents a unique challenge: how to distribute a finite number of actions across your team? Moving, transforming, and deploying your goofy units eat into your shared action pool. The excitement lies in choosing whether to save energy for later strategies or act immediately. Techniques add another layer of depth; units can prepare powerful moves that activate later, allowing for cunning setups. This system encourages players to think multiple turns ahead, keeping you on your toes.
