The Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary

Game premise and objectives

The Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary is a real-time strategy game that focuses on resource management and city-building. Players help a group of survivors embark on a journey at sea while facing various challenges, including the need to develop food and building materials. You will oversee the construction of mines for gold, coal, iron, and granite, cultivate land, and establish farms, fisheries, and hunting grounds. The primary objective is to ensure the well-being of your subjects and restore the population by retrieving the women who have mysteriously disappeared.

Building and resource management

In this game, you are involved in managing a thriving economy by giving your subjects tasks such as felling trees, mining resources, farming, and constructing buildings. You need to strategically manage your resources to enhance productivity and build the foundations for future shipbuilders, foresters, brewers, and scouts. These systems mirror classic management mechanics found in many city-building games, emphasizing the need for efficient resource allocation and planning.
