The Road Remembers

A text role-playing game

The Road Remembers is a text-only role-playing game for PC about searching for the same thing across different lives. You first play as one character, then another, and then a third. Each searches for it: one may die trying, another may succeed, and another finds it has already been taken.

Choices and the road

The game is turn-based, with no time pressure. Your actions shape what happens later, and you can pursue victory through blood, kindness, wit, or coin. The road and its people remember what each character did, and verses record events, including one about the ferryman that differs from the version he tells.
