The Last Poem is a visual novel set against the backdrop of a Tokyo struggling to recover from the collapse of the bubble economy. This sequel to 泡沫冬景 allows players to engage with the lives of two young protagonists who meet under tragic circumstances, a Chinese boy and a Japanese girl in a non-romantic encounter. As the narrative unfolds, players navigate themes of loss, hope, and the human connection amidst societal turmoil.

A Tale of Two Heart Conditions

The story centers on Lin Chunxuan, a 19-year-old girl from Northern China, burdened by a congenital heart condition and marked by the trauma of losing her family in a devastating flood. In contrast, Sakurai Emi, also 19 and from Japan, has triumphed over her own heart ailment through successful surgery. Their lives converge in 1999, a pivotal year marked by personal and global crises. Each character's journey reflects their individual battles against fate and circumstance.
